Also known as colonic irrigation, colonic, colon lavage or high colonic, Colonic Hydrotherapy is a safe, effective method of cleansing the colon of waste material by gentle, repeated flushing with water. Waste material can build up in our colon and the muscular action of the colon can be diminished resulting in constipation and inadequate bowel movements. Thus, a colonic is an effective way of removing waste matter by using the gentle introduction of water into the bowel, stimulating the muscles to contract and empty the colon.

However, each client and treatment is different. Many people even report their colon hydrotherapy sessions as being both refreshing and relaxing.
Actual session time is about 30-40 minutes, but you should plan on about 1 hour for your first consultation with session.
Refrain from eating a heavy meal 2 hours prior to the appointment. A heavy meal may consist of a meal high in protein, such as beef and pork, or carbs such as breads, pasta, etc... Additionally, increase your water intake prior to the appointment to ensure optimal detoxification.
Yes. The experience can be followed by normal activities just as one would after a regular bowel movement.
No. Some even consider it an ideal time for a colonic since the body is already in the process of cleansing itself. Additionally, menstrual flow does not effect the success of the session or the machine.
Since the colon is between 5 to 7 feet and modern diets are not always high in fiber, fecal matter often stays in the colon. Thus, after one or several colonics, clients report an average weight- loss of several lbs. Clients who alter their diet and try herbal detox cleanses report higher numbers.
